Day 3 of Malaysia LJ

Day 3- by group 6

On day 3, our tour guide brought us to a shop selling food and beverages. We took a short rest there and proceeded to buy food to eat and to bring back as souvenirs or gifts for our family.

The shop sold delicious food and pastries that were made there and then. The strong scent of the home-made pastries triggered our senses and many of us ended up buying many bags of the tasty food sold such as the beh the soh and tau sar piah.
After the visit to the shop, we took a long bus ride to a shopping centre in Kuala Lumpur called “Bukit Indah Shopping Centre”
That arduous bus journey was definitely worth it! When we stepped into the shopping centre, we were greeted by a wide array of shops. We were indefinitely spoiled for choice. To our excitement we were given 4 hours in the shopping centre.
Lunch was taken in the mall, and we visited various shops that were not available in Singapore. For instance, the “Baskin Robbins” shop selling ice-cream. We were lucky that day as it was “pink” day. We just had to show anything pink and two scoops of ice-cream were given to us for the price of one. We enjoyed yummy ice-cream there.
We were fortunate to have the company of our Hong Kong friends from Good Hope School to join us in this Malaysia LJ. It was definitely an enjoyable experience to learn more about Hong Kong from them.
Soon, it was time to go back and we took a bus ride back to Singapore. We learnt a lot from this trip and it was to our regret that it came to an end too soon.
